Whether you want to traipse through glorious forests, lie on golden sands or dance the night away at Kuta, Bali vacation packages will have the holiday your dreams are made of. The small island hosts a string of volcanic mountains and a tropical climate – that is, wet and dry seasons. But the average annual temperature of around 28C means that wet or dry, beach weather is never too far away. The grass-roofed restaurants scattered around Bali provide a relaxing and comfortable vantage point to watch the world go by. The food served in various and tasty, but it tends to have Chinese and Indian influences rather than pure Balinese; having said that, a good laksa, gado gado or satay are never too far away. You’ll find the main restaurant strips along Kuta, Legian, Ubud, Candidasa, Lovina and Sanur – but if you want to try really authentic Balinese food, befriend some Balinese and see if you can score an invitation to an evening of suckling pig.
